Consultation
When you come to Renewal Spine and Joint for the first time, Dr. Hyzy and his team will take time to get to know you. They'll ask about everything from symptoms to pain level and how long you've been having a problem. Dr. Hyzy will examine you, evaluating your spine, your joints, and where you're experiencing pain. Depending on what we learn, we may start treatment right away. Or we may request an additional test; such as an MRI, X-ray, or CT scan; before deciding on a course of action.
Procedures
Once we've diagnosed your problem, we may prescribe home care, which can include cold packs, heating pads and over the counter or prescription pain relief and/or stretching and strength-building exercises. It can also include a prescription for physical therapy. If we determine you need interventional treatment, Dr. Hyzy has expertise in a number of procedures, including spine pain management injections, non-surgical sports medicine joint tendon injections, live X-ray and ultrasound guided injections, to name a few.
Follow-up Visits
Renewal Joint and Spine care continues long after your initial consultation and treatment. We'll schedule convenient follow-up visits to assess your progress and work with you to keep your recovery on track.
