Dr. Matthew William Hyzy, DO

A Chicago native who moved to Florida in his youth, Dr. Hyzy began his medical training at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, where he developed his interest in neuromuscular medicine. After completing his residency, in physical medicine and rehabilitation ( PM&R/physiatry), at Dell Medical School in Austin, Texas, he pursued clinical experience in a wide range of interests, including: physiatry, orthopedics, neurosurgery, interventional physiatry, pain management, and regenerative medicine. This fueled his desire to pursue additional training in interventional orthopedics and regenerative medicine. His efforts earned him an invitation to be a fellow in interventional orthopedics at the Centeno Schultz clinic in Broomfield, Colorado. There, he played an integral role in the progression of regenerative medicine research and in the development of new treatment strategies to assist patients. Dr. Hyzy’s roles as a personal fitness instructor, an osteopathic physician, and a physiatrist have aligned in a holistic approach to the treatment of patients with pain, impairments, and dysfunction. When he's not working, he enjoys an active Rocky Mountain lifestyle, paddle boarding, mountain biking, yoga, international cuisine, and spending time with his family and friends.
